Simulator Only Races (Velocidrone)

Have your pilots post times on the monthly track available through Velocidrone. At the end of each month all registered teams will be awarded placement points based on their posted best times on the course. Teams will accumulate points through the four race series to earn a spot for the National Race.

Simulator races are free to enter and particpate.

Race at Your Location and Compete Online

Drones in School hosts virtual races utilizing a UTT (Universal Time Trial) course that you can setup at your location.  Your teams then record their times on the designated track and submit verification online to enter the national leaderboard and earn a spot at the National Race.  Teams can also submit their Team Portfolio, Team Display and Marketing Video for evaluation.

NOTE: Teams do not have to submit all components to compete in an event.  Entries can be submitted anytime in the month of competition and the last submitted entry for each category will be the one that is judged.

Live Competitive Events Hosted at Your Location

Live events let area teams run full competitive events in a gymnasium or similar space.  Live events feature all Drones in School judged categories; Head-to-Head Racing, Capture the Flag Racing, Portfolio / Display Judging, Design and Engineering Judging, and Marketing Video Judging. Event hosts can charge registration fees and admission for these events. The last date for a race to earn National Qualifier Points is March 15th.
