VelociDrone is widely regarded as having the best physics of any FPV simulator on the market and is the official racing simulator for Drones in School. Each team is required to have a VelociDrone license to participate in the Simulator Races scheduled each season.
Once you purchase a license, within 72 hours you will receive an email that includes a voucher code that can be redeemed on velocidrone.com to access your software.
Each license includes:
1 - Base VelociDrone License
This is the simulator basic license which is required to run velocidrone and a pre-requisite to installing any premium content listed on this page.
1 -Micro Class Quads Premium Content
All the fun of Micro quads and new micro environments to play in. This content includes access to the aircraft needed to participate in the Drones in School Simulator Races.
Each team will need a minimum of one VelociDrone account they can use for practice and season Simulator Races. The account must use an email account login to access the software, but no PII is stored in the VelociDrone system. The log in is only used to sync race times and placement on track leaderboards.
If you're using Google Workspace, we have had success having teams create a single drone team account and then using the built-in "+alias" feature to manage all of the Velocidrone licenses from a single Google login.
For example, you create an email address like: DRONE@yourschool.org
Then, when you register your VelociDrone licenses, you use something like this.
DRONE+1@yourschool.org
DRONE+2@yourschool.org
DRONE+3@yourschool.org
DRONE+4@yourschool.org
Velocidrone will recognize each of those email addresses above as different accounts to register your licenses. However, any password reset email or other communication from Velocidrone will all flow to the DRONE@yourschool.org account, which the educator can manage and retrieve.
You could also create a separate account for each license, if so desired. However, using the "+alias" feature will allow the team advisor to manage multiple Velocidrone licenses from the single DRONE@yourschool.org account.
